intergenerational aircraft, represented by chengdu j-20, poses extremely stringent requirements for assembly accuracy and connection reliability. the aircraft assembly innovation team of zhejiang university has overcome a series of technical problems in the field of aircraft assembly through 15 years of “accelerated run” and created a new situation for aircraft automation assembly in china.
at present, the team has developed 17 sets of aircraft automated assembly systems and two assembly lines for the assembly of aircraft. it has made a huge contribution to successful development and production of 9 key models such as china's large-scale transport aircraft-20 and fourth-generation stealth fighter chengdu j-20.
in addition to the military field, the first three-stage connecting automation assembly system of the domestic feeder liner arj21-700 was also from the zhejiang university’s aircraft assembly innovation team. in the future, the manufacturing of next-generation large passenger aircraft and naval vessels will also have more imprints of "zju manufacturing".
